General Questions

Q: What are your store hours?
A: We are open Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm and we are closed Sunday.

Q: Where are you located?
A: Our shop is located in downtown Escanaba - 1016 Ludington St Escanaba, MI 49829

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, checks, debit cards, The Trek Card, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Our legal business name is Two Feathers, LLC - dba Mr. Bike,Ski and Fitness.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: We stand behind everything we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the new, unused item within 30 days and we'll replace it or give you a refund. Any USED Bontrager accessory, part, or article of clothing can be returned within 30 days under the BONTRAGER UNCONDITIONAL COMFORT/PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE for a store credit towards some other item. Bicycles can be returned within 14 days for store credit. Special orders or custom bicycles are not covered under this return policy and may not be returned or exchanged. Customers are responsible for any damage to bicycles that they wish to return or exchange.

Q: What brands of bicycles do you sell?
A: Trek and Giant Bicycles, learn more about our bikes.

Q: Do you repair bikes?
A:Yes. Bike repair is at the heart of our business. We have a full service repair workshop staffed by professional mechanics who are eager to help you with your repair. When you come to us for a repair, you will see that our store has an "open" workshop, where customers can watch our mechanics working and ask them questions.

Q: What brands of bicycles do you work on?
A: We can repair all brands of bicycles. You do not have to have purchased your bicycle from us for us to repair, adjust, or install parts on your bicycle.

Q: Do you take trade-ins?
A: Sorry, we don't take trade-ins on bicycles. The only exception is for our Kids Buyback Program for children's bikes that were purchased from our store and can be traded up for the next bigger size children's bike. Learn more here.

Q: Do you sell used bikes or vintage bikes?
A: Yes. On a rare occasion, we have a curated selection of used bikes. We also love the history of cycling and every now and then we’ll come across a vintage bike and use it for display or for sale.

Q: Do you sell e-bikes?
A: Yes

Q: Can I test ride a bike at your store?
A: Yes, we recommend always going for a test ride before any purchase.

Q: How much do your bikes cost?
A: Our in-stock adult bikes range from $400 to $3,500. Kids bikes range from $150 to $600. We always have the ability to special any bike that goes above and beyond our typical in-stock products.

SKIS, SNOWBOARDS, AND SNOWSHOES

Q: What brands of skis do you sell? Snowboards? Snowshoes?
A: We carry Rossignol downhill, cross country skis and snowboards. We carry Tubbs snowshoes.

Q: Do you repair winter equipment?
A: Yes. Repair services is at the heart of our business. We have a full service repair workshop staffed by professional mechanics who are eager to help you with your repair. When you come to us for a repair, you will see that our store has an "open" workshop, where customers can watch our mechanics working and ask them questions.

Q: What brands of winter equipment do you work on?
A: We can repair all brands of winter equipment. You do not have to have purchased your winter equipment from us for us to repair, adjust, or install parts on your winter equipment.

Q: Do you take trade-ins?
A: Sorry, we don't take trade-ins on bicycles. The only exception is for our Kids Buyback Program for children's bikes that were purchased from our store and can be traded up for the next bigger size children's bike. Learn more about the buyback program.

Q: Do you rent downhill skis? Cross country skis? Snowboards? Snowshoes?
A: Yes, we rent daily, multi-day and seasonal. Learn more about prices.

Q: Do you fix adult tricycles?
A: Yes… if they can fit through our front door, which is 36" wide. We can't fix anything that can't get in the door.

Q: Do you build wheels?
A: Yes

Q: Why should I bring my bike to you for a repair instead of bringing it somewhere else?
A: We believe that our work should speak for itself, so ask around! We have thousands of satisfied customers who have had their bikes fixed by the Mr. Bike and Ski crew. We strive to provide professional work at fair prices. Because we have an open workshop, you can watch our mechanics at work and know that we are always completely honest and doing what is best for your bike and you. In addition, our work is guaranteed, so if you are dissatisfied with your bike repair, you can bring it back and we'll make the situation right.

Q: Do you do bike fitting?
A: We provide basic fit services. During a basic fit session, one of our mechanics will watch you ride on an indoor trainer, while that mechanic makes adjustments or substitutions as needed. We charge $100 for a one hour basic fit session, but if you purchase a road bicycle from us, then the fit session is free.

Q: Do you have free air?
A: Yes. We have an air compressor in front of our store where anyone can inflate his or her tires while our store is open. The air compressor is set at 100 psi. If you need more pressure, you can come inside and use our floor pump. Both options are free of charge.

PURCHASES

Q: Do you have a layaway plan?
A: Yes. Minimum of 25% down, must pay off in 90 days.

Q: What is your return policy for in store purchases?
A: For purchases made in our store, we do not accept returns or exchanges on helmets, inner tubes, second hand parts, or on any part or accessory that has been installed. We do accept returns and exchanges on all other merchandise in complete and like-new condition, within 30 days of in-store purchase. In order to receive a refund, you must present the original receipt. If you do not have the original receipt, you may return the merchandise for store credit, provided you present government-issued photo ID. Final sale items are non-returnable.

Q: Why should I buy a bike from Mr. Bike and Ski?
A: We will work with you to find a bike that suits your riding goals. Whether that bike costs $400 or $4,000, you will receive the highest level of service and care.

Q: Do you have group rides?
A: Yes - we have a Tuesday No-Drop Ride. Learn more about group rides or check out the Mr. Bike Group Rides page on Facebook for details about the current week's ride!

Q: Where is a good place to ride?
A: Mountain bikes: Days River Trailway, Bruno’s Run, Valley Spur are a few of our favorites!

  • Road bikes: Delta County has a paved bike path that is around and out of town. Stop in and we will map a route.

  • Cruiser bikes: Downtown Escanaba and around Ludington Park

Q: What ski slopes are near Escanaba?
A: Pine Mountain, Marquette Mountain, Norway Mountain, Gladstone Ski Hill

Fitness Equipment

Q: Do you sell fitness equipment?
A: No, we do not sell fitness equipment.

Q: Do you service fitness equipment?
A: Yes, we we will service Spirit Fitness Equipment that was purchased from our store and that qualifies for under the manufacturer warranty of 1 year in-home labor.
