Gladstone ski hill - after school program

The City of Gladstone Parks and Recreation Department hosts an After School Program at the Gladstone John & Melissa Besse Sports Park for students in kindergarten through middle school. The program includes a homework/social hour and snowboard and ski lessons. The schedule is typically Monday, Thursday and Friday from 3:00pm to 8:30pm. The After School Program is included with a $12 Daily Pass or a Yearly Membership. Fees cover all aspects of the Program with limited equipment usage so book your rentals online with us!

906 Adventure Team: Delta County

The 906 Adventure Team is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit. Their mission is to empower people to become the best version of themselves through outdoor adventure.

Delta County Non-Motorized trails

DCNT creates and maintains sustainable non-motorized, multi-use trail systems in and connecting Delta County that use the region’s natural assets and expand recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

Mish Events hosts two exciting endurance events along the beautiful Lake Michigan Waterfront in Michigan's Upper Peninsula including a marathon, half, 10k and a sprint triathlon.

Local Trails

Days River Pathway Trail

Days River Pathway Trail offers 9 miles of mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. This popular trail is considered one of the best in the U.P. Five loops offer increasing difficulty while the first two loops are kid-friendly. Several single tracks off the main path give added challenges for mountain bikers. The main trail winds along the Days River through pine, spruce, and cedar ridges of the Escanaba River State Forest.

Esky West Side recreation area

The Esky West Side Recreation Area is a multi-use recreation area consisting of 7 miles of trails for cross-county skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and biking. The West Side Recreation Area is located at 19th Avenue North in Escanaba.

Rapid river national xc ski trail

The Rapid River National Cross Country Ski Trail is located 6 miles north of Rapid River on US 41, this long trail system offers five classic ski loops, and two skating loops with challenges to match every ability level. A one-mile-long snowshoe trail complements the trail facilities.
